Manchester United Open Training Session increases expectations for the Cup Match

Over 3,000 fans cheered for their beloved players in the open training session of the Manchester United at the Macao Stadium yesterday morning (22 July). The full team attended the one-hour training to prepare themselves for their match with Shenzhen Xiangxue Eisiti Football Club at 8pm tonight (23 July). The team greeted the spectators during the training. Chairman of Macau 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee Manuel Silvério has personally approached the players to encourage their close contacts with the fans and satisfy their autograph signing. The Manchester United team continued with other activities in the afternoon

Manchester United Arrives in Macao in Anticipation of the Venetian Macao Cup

Macao SAR, China (July 21, 2007) – The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, a Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS) property, today welcomed the English Premier League champions Manchester United and the Chinese Super League’s Shenzhen Football Club teams to Macao in the run up to The Venetian Macao Cup.

The friendship match for The Venetian Macao Cup kicks off at 8pm on 23rd July at Macao Stadium. It will mark Manchester United’s first-ever appearance in Macao as part of the team’s Asia Tour 2007. The Venetian Macao Cup represents the first salvo in a variety of events centered around the much-anticipated opening of The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel – Macao’s first truly integrated resort. The historic visit of Manchester United has been made possible by the combined efforts of title sponsor The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, joint organizers Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC), the Macau Football Association, Ka Ki Sport Development and tour organizer ProEvents.
