Plan A is Marks & Spencer’s five-year, 100-point eco and ethical plan to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing their business and the world. It was launched in the UK in January 2007 and focuses on five key pillars: Climate Change, Sustainable Raw Materials, Waste, Fair Partner and Health. As Marks & Spencer’s second worldwide location to celebrate the launch of Plan A, Marks & Spencer Hong Kong today held a celebration event, with an unveiling ceremony at the Marks & Spencer Flagship in Central, featuring a Plan A window exhibition.

What is Plan A? Plan A is Marks & Spencer’s eco and ethical plan to tackle some of the environmental and social challenges facing their business. It will see them working with their customers and suppliers through the products they sell to minimise their carbon footprint, reduce waste, safeguard natural resources, trade ethically and give their customers healthier options. They are doing this because it is the right way to do business. They are calling it Plan A because they believe it is now the only way to do business. There is no Plan B.
