China's Ding Junhui thumped
Mark Williams 6-1 at the Grand Prix to set up the first ranking final
between two non-British players for nearly a quarter of a century.Ding, aged
22, will battle Australia's 27-year-old Neil Robertson over 17 frames at the
Kelvin Hall tomorrow in a match which represents the growth of snooker as an
international sport over the past decade. Ding added his view that the
international flavour of the final is: "Great for snooker around the
world. Chinese people know more and more about snooker which is very
good."

The Hong Kong 2009 East Asian
Games will be officially launched on 5 December 2009. Following the successful
conclusion of the 100-day Countdown cum Torch Relay held on 29 August 2009, the
School Torch Relay commenced in September with about 500 local schools
participating in the event.
The St.
Joseph’s Anglo-Chinese
School will be holding
its 52nd Athletics Meet Prize Presentation Ceremony cum Hong Kong 2009 East
Asian Games School Torch Relay Ceremony at the Wan Chai Sports Ground to further promote the theme of "Light
the way to the EAG".
Mr. TSANG Tak-sing, JP attends Hong Kong 2009 East Asian
Games School Torch Relay.
The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing passes the
torch to Cheung Yat-lun, the current school athletic record holder in shot put
and discus throw.
