為了讓市民能夠於2009年除夕夜欣賞「除夕倒數詠香江」煙火匯演，海港城特別於今日(2009年12月31日)煙火發放之夜，開放了海港城海運大廈露天停車場作為觀賞場地，讓過萬市民及遊客在無敵觀景的環境下欣賞除夕夜煙火匯演。
