全球首艘全太陽能動力雙體船MS TÛRANOR PLANETSOLAR首次環球航行抵港停泊海港城海運碼頭 |

全太陽能動力雙體船MSTÛRANORPlanetSolar將於8月15日(星期一)駛入香港水域並停泊於海港城海運碼頭，作為該艘操作寧靜且無污染的太陽能船隻首次環球航行其中一站。長達31米的雙體船，鋪設了
500平方米的太陽能電板。該艘雙體船於2010年9月從法國南部出發，展開環球航行，除了推廣太陽能，亦展示來自瑞士的可再生能源產品能夠為沿線的造船廠及零件生産商帶來嶄新商機。
PlanetSolar留港期間，於海港城海運大廈地下KidX 更化身為「太陽能村」(Solar
Village)，展示各類潔淨能源及它們的來源。參觀者可以親身體驗 MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar 的世界，並可獲得有關太陽能發電的詳細資料。展館內還有各項實質資料數據、圖表及繪圖，可讓參觀者了解太陽能發電的相應程序、技術與設施。
「太陽能村」內設有不同活動讓大小朋友一同認識「太陽能」，希望透過一系列的遊戲及展覽，加強大家對環境保護的意識，及了解可再生能源的巨大利用價值和潛力。
