「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日 2014」 逾四萬人見證人類飛行極限 |

由Red Bull HK主辦的「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日 2014」，今天假中環新海濱舉行，雖然天文台懸掛黃色暴雨警告，但無阻超過四萬市民親身到場見證43支參賽隊伍的飛行過程，感受人力飛行的樂趣。
雖然高掛黃色暴雨，但上天特別眷顧「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日 2014」，中環區風平浪靜，未有受到暴雨影響，令參賽者與觀眾都可以在無雨的情況下欣賞賽事。繼2010年後再次來到香港的「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日 2014」首次移師中環新海濱，吸引到超過四萬市民到場，在維港美景的襯托下，近距離欣賞這項集刺激、娛樂、創意等元素於一身的盛事，親身體驗飛行的樂趣。大會亦特別預留了部份入場配額予弱勢社群和傷健人士，令他們都能參與此盛事。
「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日 2014」的參賽者需駕駛其自製的飛行器，從跳台上「飛」落水。參賽團隊內必須由有1名駕駛者和最多3個輔助起飛者組成。而自行製作的滑翔飛行器的大小亦 規定為6米(長) X 6米(闊) X 3米 (高)，其重量必須少於100公斤才可以起飛。各支參加者「飛」前將有30秒表演時間，爭取評判歡心。「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日」將從三方面評分：飛得幾遠、設計幾有創意同表演幾精彩。
有關Red Bull Flugtag：
Flugtag (發音為floog-tag)，德文原意為「飛行日」，是世界知名的自創人力飛行器比賽。首屆「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日」在1992年奧地利維也納舉行，現時已累積超過44個國家曾舉行 「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日」，當中包括美國、新加坡、德國、澳洲、紐西蘭。香港亦於2010年於西九龍直升機場舉辦，成為首個舉行「Red Bull Flugtag飛行日」的亞洲城市。

Not even a 6.2 earthquake that rocked Tokyo at 5:20am could stop the Chinese women from claiming the Corbillon Cup.
For the women's team finals, there were no surprises as the Chinese
team, which consisted of the world's top three players, LIU Shiwen, DING
Ning and LI Xiaoxia, whitewashed second seeded Japan 3-0.
To the dismay of the sold out crowd, the Japanese team of ISHIGAKI Yuka,
ISHIKAWA Kasumi and HIRANO Sayaka were unable to replicate their
successful performance in the semifinals the day before, where they came
back from 0-1 to defeat Hong Kong.
Despite the Japanese team not winning gold, they were satisfied to make
their first final in 31 years in this home country. The star of their
team Kasumi ISHIKAWA stated: "As a team of five we overcame difficult
situations. For example we came close to losing in the quarterfinals but
overcame in the end, which gave us great confidence. We played as a
team, with a big crowd giving us energy, and we played at our best."
At the conclusion of the event the local Japanese organizers handed over
the International Table Tennis Federation flag to the next organizer in
Suzhou, China, which will host the 2015 World Individual Championships
on 26 April – 3 May 2015.

China men win 19th World Team Table Tennis Championship title |

The Chinese men's and women's
team have defended their World Team Table Tennis Championships title at
the biggest ever ITTF World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The Chinese juggernaut rolled on in front of a capacity crowd of 9000 in
Yoyogi Gymnasium to win their 19th World Team Table Tennis
Championships titles.
In the Chinese men's team who were the top seeds, which consisted of the
world's top three players, headed into the finals as title favourites,
against the second seeded German team who fielded a team that was "their
best in history" as described by German team member BOLL Timo.
Despite the German team's best efforts, China overwhelmed Germany 3-1 to claim the Swaythling Cup.
"This is our strongest generation, but unfortunately for us this Chinese
generation is also amazing," said BOLL. "There's no shame losing to
such strong players."
