Everything is set for Taipei city to host the 17th Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship from July 16 to 24, with 15 teams fighting for top honors and 3 tickets to compete in next year’s FIVB Women's U20 World Championship.

The 15 teams are divided into 4 pools with single round robin system in the preliminary round for 3 days. Top 2 teams from each pool will advance to the quarterfinal while the lower-ranked sides will be relegated to contest the 9th-15th classification round.

The Asian Women’s (U19) Volleyball Championship, used to be named as Asian Junior Volleyball Championship, is held every two years. The top 3 of this year will get qualified directly to the FIVB Women's U20 World Championship 2015. Korea won the champion once at the first edition and later on, the title has been always kept by China (10 times) and Japan (5 times).

Taipei will host the Universiade 2017 from August 19 to 30. As part of the preparation for the Universiade, the Asian Women’s (U19) Volleyball Championship has got great support from the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, Taipei Municipal Government and Ministry of Education.

藝術源於生活，生活因夢想而閃亮！來自美國的《花生漫畫》(Peanuts)主角「史諾比」(Snoopy)，自1950年面世以來，一直是實現夢想的標記。海港城於2014年7月16日至8月12日舉行「夢想起航」史諾比藝術及生活展覽，除了於海港城海運大廈露天廣場展出全球最大的3.3米高史諾比巨型藝術裝置外，更邀請曾與《花生漫畫》作者查爾斯．舒爾茲（Charles M. Schulz）多次合作的日本藝術大師大谷芳照（Yoshiteru Otani）與一眾工藝大師，以多種日本最具代表性的傳統工藝製成多件富有濃厚東方色彩的史諾比藝術品，首次帶到香港於海港城展出。大谷芳照於海港城港威商場以特製毛筆即場繪製特別為是次展覽設計的「香港」(4米 x 2米) 及「夢」(2米 x 2米)史諾比巨形書法，

《花生漫畫》作者查爾斯．舒爾茲（Charles M. Schulz）的太太珍妮‧舒爾茲(Jean Schulz)表示很榮幸能與海港城合辦「夢想起航」史諾比藝術及生活展覽。相比美國及其他地方舉辦的展覽，不論史諾比裝置藝術的規模及其豐富活動內容均令她留下深刻印象，是史諾比歷來最盛大的展覽之一。珍妮相信查爾斯會對這個展覽感到非常興奮及開心，因為由他創作的史諾比可以在香港舉行如此大型的展覽及帶給大家歡樂。珍妮希望每人都會樂在其中。
