Dominika Cibulkova wrote the final chapter of a fairytale season by upsetting World No.1 Angelique Kerber to win the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
"I have no words, coming here for the first time, the biggest tournament
of my life. I still don't know how I won, I put the ball over the net
and it went in; it's the happiest moment of my life," Cibulkova said in

China’s Feng Shanshan wrote her name into the record books as she became the first golfer to win a second Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia title following an impressive final round in which she shot a 4-under par 67 to finish at 17-under par overall, maintaining her extraordinary form on Malaysian soil.
Feng started the final round in less than spectacular fashion, with a bogey on the first hole, but remained calm to enjoy a bogey-free remaining round, while picking up five birdies along the way.
Said Feng: “I have to say thanks to my caddie. I met him here five years ago and we’ve been working together since then. Every time I’m playing here, I play great, and I couldn’t have done it without his help."
“I think we make a good team. Not just my caddie, but also my coach, Gary Gilchrist, and my parents. I’m sure they are watching live now. I haven’t talked to them but hopefully they’re happy.”
Speaking on behalf of tournament sponsor, Chief Executive Officer of TPC Kuala Lumpur and Chairman of Tournament Committee, Steven Thielke, said, “Congratulations to Feng Shanshan for an outstanding display of golf over four days. She is a highly deserving champion and her record at TPC Kuala Lumpur speaks for itself.
“We have enjoyed another wonderful tournament and our thanks goes to the players on the LPGA Tour and the fans who have followed the action on course and contributed to the exciting atmosphere off it.”

YANG EXTENDS LEAD AFTER SECOND ROUND OF SIME DARBY LPGA MALAYSIA |

It
looked to be a quiet day for Amy Yang as she made even-par on the
front nine in round two of the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. But a
spectacular eagle on the 11th hole, followed by a bogey
and birdie on holes 14 and 16 were enough to give the South Korean a
three shot cushion at the half way stage of the tournament.
Speaking
on her eagle, she said, “It was about 125 yards and I was using my
pitching wedge. It came off really solid off the face and it looked
like it was going to go really close, but it actually went in. When
the ball disappeared, I went, ‘Yay finally!’”
Yang
also refused to let the late-round rain delay throw her off her game.
She said, “I was actually getting a little frustrated about not
making putts, and I was getting hungry. So I went and ate lunch
during the break, and it actually gave me some time to think about
what was going on and how to finish the next three holes, which
helped me.”
