"I would like to announce my decision to
retire from racing in Formula One at the end of this season," the
37-year-old Red Bull
driver said in a statement issued before his home British Grand Prix.
"I will remain actively involved in the
sport as a consultant to Red Bull
Racing focusing on testing and development of the cars.
Coulthard said his decision to retire was
taken earlier in the year and was based on "a desire to stop while I am
still competitive and enjoying the immense challenge that Grand Prix driving
represents".
The Scot has won 13 grands prix, two of the
victories coming at Silverstone, in a Formula One career that started with Williams in
1994 after the death of Brazilian triple champion Ayrton Senna.
He has started 236 races to date, more than
any other British driver.

Zheng reaches semifinal at Wimbledon |

Zheng became the first Chinese player to
reach a Grand Slam semi-final when she defeated Nicole Vaidisova
6-2, 5-7, 6-1at Wimbledon on Tuesday and will
face Serena Williams for a place in the final.

Hong Kong Post issued today
(1 July 2008) the “Giant Pandas “Special Stamps. At a ceremony held in the
morning at Ocean Park, Mr. Rafael HUI Si-yan, GBM,GBS,JP,
Member of the Executive Council, Dr. Allan ZEMAN, Chairman of Ocean Park Hong
Kong, and Mr. TAM Wing pong, Postmaster General officiated the issue of the
special stamps by stamping an enlarged first day cover.
Mr. Tam has announced that a
total of $ 1,375,000 was raised at the sale of limited edition prestige stamp products
with a Giant Panda paw print. Mr. Hui presented the cheque donation on behalf
of HongKong Post to De. ZEMAN and Ms Judy Chen, Chair of Ocean Park
Conservation Foundation Hong Kong to support the rebuilding of panda facilities
in Sichuan.
