今天(星期四，10月9日)在九龍木球會舉行的分組抽籤，宿敵印度和巴基斯坦在同組中碰頭，兩隊將在第一天的比賽中一較高低。 四次六人賽冠軍的英格蘭和2006冠軍南非，與兩隊亞洲勁旅一起編在Bradman組。 而Sobers組則有明星隊、衛冕冠軍的斯里蘭卡、澳洲和東道主香港。
貝馬可續說：「當然，印度對巴基斯坦的比賽將會令很多人興奮及期待，英格蘭和南非隊亦派出了強大的球隊陣容，所以在這一組我們預期必有一番龍爭虎鬥。」
「而Sobers組方面，香港將會與明星隊進行夢寐以求的比賽，我相信眾球員期待迎接挑戰。」
香港球迷亦可安在家中在Now TV 634和678台收看比賽，今年更將會首次以粵語評述。
香港六人板球賽於1992年創辦，獲國際板球會全面認可，是該項運動最具歷史、最完善及最受注目的六人比賽。
賽事由香港板球會附屬公司中國板球國際負責籌辦及推廣。
賽事所得款項會透過香港板球會投入本地板球發展。

Famous suppliers form China and around the world will
feature a range of fashion, eco and functional fabrics at the Autumn fair.
Fair will feature the first ‘eco-textile labeling guide a
must have reference tool for the textile trade.
Interstoff Asia Autumn 2008 will open form 8-10 October at
the Hong Kong Convention
& Exhibition Center,
More than 200 supplies from worldwide, UK
and the US
will exhibit at the fair, Cotton Council International will send a delegation
of six companies looking to source products from high-quality suppliers at the
fair.
Other highlights of the fair include the ‘eco-textile labeling
guide’ introducing the most important existing eco-labels and standards,
special display forums for Autumn / Winter 2009/2010 fashionable fabrics, eco-textile
products and functional.

亞洲列強聚港爭奪2009欖球 (七人) 世界盃入場劵 |

|
2009欖球 (七人) 世界盃亞洲區外圍賽」已於假香港足球會曲終人散。12路男子欖球精英角逐兩個「2009欖球 (七人) 世界盃」亞洲區席位，而9隊女子欖球勁旅亦奮力爭取3個名額，望能亮相於下年度舉行的史上首屆女子七人欖球世界盃。
男子組的賽事可謂高潮迭起，香港隊以C組首名出線，在半總決賽中與在小組賽中力挫種籽球隊韓國兼位列B組首名的中華台北對壘；最終以26比0將中華台北擊敗，成功取得世界盃席位。
男子A組首名與D組首名的對戰亦非常緊張刺激，貴為亞運冠軍得主和賽前被看高一線的A組首名日本，在賽事中表現一如過往穩健，日本最終以24比0壓倒中國，穩佔世界盃一席位。而在男子組總決賽中。
女子組的賽事同樣惡戰連連，中國與日本可謂旗鼓相當，中國先以17比5痛擊哈薩克，日本以17比12勇挫泰國，各自取下世界盃入場劵。女子組的第3張入場劵則由後勁凌厲的泰國以得失球差力壓強隊哈薩克奪得。
