Tokyo, Japan, August 20, 2009: Olympic champions Brazil swept China 3-0 in the second match of the second day of the FIVB World Grand Prix Final Round at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on Thursday afternoon.

The seven-time Grand Prix champions were much too fast and experienced for China, and sped to a 25-21, 25-20, 31-29 victory. But they had to save three set points in the third before clinching on their fifth match ball.

With their latest success, Brazil improved their win-loss record to 2-0 and dropped China, the 2003 Grand Prix champions, to 0-2 with three games to play.

Head Coach Cai Bin: Today Brazil was too strong and their attack and receive worked well, and they had a good rhythm. I saw Brazil-Russia yesterday and I think Brazil played more constant than yesterday. Their spikes have a lot of variety and I feel there is a difference between our team and Brazil. The players of China are still young so I think we have potential to be better.

Captain Wei Qiuyue: We had some chances to win (the third set), so I am very sorry to lose the game. It is always difficult against Brazil, so we practiced harder.

Xue Ming: Today we could not play our style well, especially after serving and receiving we were lacking attack power.
