中華台北羽毛球黃金大獎賽展開了正賽的第二個比賽日的爭奪，比賽中，林丹攜手王睜茗連過兩關晉級八強，女單韓利和劉鑫並進，女雙頭號於洋/王曉理也過關。

七號种子林丹和二號种子王睜茗都有著不俗的發揮，雙雙擊退對手，攜手晉級八強。林丹在第二輪的對手是馬來西亞選手吳順發，林丹沒有遇到太多的抵抗就以兩個21-16勝出，晚間林丹再次出戰，又輕鬆地以21-9和21-17的比分將中國香港選手譚進希斬落馬下。王睜茗也不甘落後，他先是以21-12和21-9的比分擊敗了芬蘭選手伊圖，隨後又以21-17和21-18的比分戰勝了中國香港選手黃永棋。

Everything is set for Taipei city to host the 17th Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship from July 16 to 24, with 15 teams fighting for top honors and 3 tickets to compete in next year’s FIVB Women's U20 World Championship.

The 15 teams are divided into 4 pools with single round robin system in the preliminary round for 3 days. Top 2 teams from each pool will advance to the quarterfinal while the lower-ranked sides will be relegated to contest the 9th-15th classification round.

The Asian Women’s (U19) Volleyball Championship, used to be named as Asian Junior Volleyball Championship, is held every two years. The top 3 of this year will get qualified directly to the FIVB Women's U20 World Championship 2015. Korea won the champion once at the first edition and later on, the title has been always kept by China (10 times) and Japan (5 times).

Taipei will host the Universiade 2017 from August 19 to 30. As part of the preparation for the Universiade, the Asian Women’s (U19) Volleyball Championship has got great support from the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, Taipei Municipal Government and Ministry of Education.
