China's Olympic gold medallists to Hong Kong

The Deputy Secretary General of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, Professor Leung Mee-lee (L2); the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mr Thomas Chow (L3); the Deputy Secretary of Home Affairs, Mr Donald Tong (L1); and the Deputy Director of Leisure and Cultural Services (Leisure Services), Mr Vincent Liu, after brief the media on the upcoming visit of China's Olympic gold medallists to Hong Kong take a group photo with poster.

The public can meet the Mainland's Olympic gold medallists August 29 to 31.the three-day visit will feature demonstrations by the athletes in four venues, and a gala performance at Hong Kong Stadium. 

On the first day of their visit the delegation will attend a cocktail reception hosted by the Chief Executive, followed by a welcoming dinner. 

It will attend the flag-raising ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai at 8am August 30. Members of the public can observe the ceremony in the designated area. 

Gold medallists in four sports will give demonstrations from 10.30am to noon at Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre (table tennis), Kowloon Park Sports Centre (badminton), Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool in Tsuen Wan (diving) and Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai (gymnastics). 

Athletes will also share their experience with youths and compete with spectators. 

The delegation will partake in the gala performance at Hong Kong Stadium from 5.30 to 7pm, before leaving the city August 31.
